メリッサ・ブランツさんとその旦那さんが、カナダのバンフ国立公園にあるミネワンカ湖を訪れ、記念撮影を撮ろうとしたときのものだそうです。
タイマーを設置してジーと音が鳴り、ニッコリ笑いながら待つこと数秒。カシャッとシャッターが下りたその瞬間に、興味しんしんのリスが顔を出してしまい、その結果がこの写真と言う訳です。
